Mochi!

YO must be reading my mind. She always sends me exactly what I want. This time, mochi! A-ha! What should I eat them? Zenzai ... yummm ... simply sugar and soy sauce ... yummm ... with peanuts butter, nay, too American. It will take time to make up my mind, and I will definitely enjoy wondering, hee hee hee.

Thanks, YO! I bowed three times toward Tokyo :)

Awesome Aerial Tour!

SB took me for an aerial tour this evening, which turned out awesome! He took me to the coast in a matter of minutes, and few up north. The scenery was amazing, and the flight was smooth. What a wonderful break from my work! Thanks a bunch, SB!

SB also told me that lots of rich and famous people including actors who own private jets and often visit here. But he didn't give me any details because he has to keep confidentiality of those people. Anyway, it was interesting enough to know there are many people who spend tons of money on aircraft and enjoy expensive fun.

Only Self Service in Oregon?!

Pumping gas by yourself is not allowed in Oregon, but obviously pilots are allowed. This cracked me up hard, hee hee hee!

Extravaganza!

It was interesting. C told me a couple of days ago that there would be a fun get-together among business people. So, I went there, which was a Japanese restaurant a little out of town, which turned out that they serve very nice food, but of course expensive.

Yeah, they were business people who got together for business purposes. They were looking for business opportunities through ... drinking. Interesting. For me, you know, I am not a business person but a student. I just chatted a little bit with those strangers, and hanged out with my friends. I was lucky to have R and C, who are both business people but friends of mine. R and C bought me drinks and food, and I got drunk! I feel good, drinking with my friends, not drinking alone!

ASA & IAMCR

Yea, my papers were accepted by a couple of conferences in the summer! Now, I have to plan my travels around ... and manage my money :(

Term-End Excelsior

AB is awesome. She wined and dined us (6 students) for a term-end celebration at Excelsior, a.k.a. fancy restaurant not for graduate students. Her class was invaluable, and the classmates were precious.

George Clooney

Oh-ah, what nice smiles he has ... George Clooney is awesome. Also, Jason Bateman is in though he looks a lot different from him in Arrested Development or something else.

I thought this movie is a comedy, and yes, it is, but it is also a kind of sad story. But the ending should be like that. I don't like a everyone-should-be-happy ending anyway. Unlike me, HG loves happy ending stories. But, YS was on my side. Yea, two against one!

It's funny that I understand that feeling obsessed by frequent flight miles though I'm not that frequently flyer like Ryan (George Clooney) in the movie.

Candles

Candles are really soothing. Keeping the room dim and burning candles make me calm. Kind of meditation? I don't know. Candles also smell good. I like them, especially when I feel lonely. Grow up, Duck, it's ridiculous to feel homesick this long!

School Party

As you may know by now, I don't like parties related to my school. I like people in my school, but I don't like partying with them. Weird, huh?

But I was invited to a party that I may not be able to reject. Oh, well, I could, but I went there anyway.

In short, it turned out fine. I enjoyed talking with people and knowing people better though it was pain in the ass to see my creepy ex there, puke.

The reason why I decided to go there is because I was so lonely at home after K chan left. Mm, I'm still homesick :P

Three-Party Talk

Finally, W GMs and I successfully held our three-party talk tonight after a long absence. I believe we didn't have it last term though we had two-party talks occasionally.

It was fun to be with them as always, and I was glad that they enjoyed my food as always. But I felt so sorry for one of GM who seems really stressed out this term because of the low level of students.

Oh, well, I forgot to take a photo of my food, again, as always.

Homesick, Already

K chan left early this morning. I had classes today so that I was OK until I came home. Suddenly, after I came home, I started feeling lonely, totally lonely! Ahhhh, I want K chan to be here, cook for me, and chat. I'm kind of homesick now :(

Night Out

It was nice of S to ask me out tonight because I was homesick badly. Actually, I happened to meet several friends tonight, which was really good to me. Human interactions are really important, I confirm.

American Steak

K chan made awesome steak, which changed my preoccupation about American beef! It tasted really good.
